Ballet is the base of all dance and the most important style for any budding dancer to train in. Ballet is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance. It has since become a widespread, highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary.
This style has been gaining more and more popularity over the years and has proven to be our most popular class. These sessions lead to Acrobatic Arts exams.
Acrobatic dance is an especially challenging style for dancers as it requires them to be trained in both dance and acrobatic skills. Its unique choreography seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics together.
Modern dance is a broad genre of theatrical dance. Classes are perfect for a stylistic dancer. It is the most popular sessions for students heavily interested in dance movement and performance. We are an IDTA school.
Dance Studio 22 offer sessions in Musical Theatre (heels) for students aged 10+. Dancing in heels is great for building strength, flexibility and better posture. Heel dance is an excellent confidence booster and can be super thrilling to learn. In heels you can turn those casual walks into a show stopping strut!
While dancing in character heels can be a challenge, it can be super rewarding!
Dancers must wear Character shoes. Standard heels are not permitted.
